Better late than never (Part 1)

This is an embarrassingly late post. I had expected to post much earlier than this but my life was interrupted by identity theft.  The hours spent trying to clear this up has been remarkable and I know I'm not done.  I'm beyond angry about it and just want to get on with business as usual.  That being said, I am going to blog about the better part of March- the part when my sister and family visited and about my boys turning 4 and pirate party and forget about the other nonsense!

The Goryl's visit was awesome.  We packed in the activities each day and spent some quality time around the fire at night (with the exception of Friday night- making 2 ships for the boys birthday- that was just mad!). On top of it all, the weather was amazing- lots of sun and very mild weather. The girls adjusted surprisingly well with little to zero melt downs. Amazing.  Mine on the other hand were so over stimulated they didn't know what end was up.  It took about a week for normal behavior to return. All very worth it as they are still talking about their cousins and birthday party extravaganza.

They arrived on Wednesday night and the boys stayed up late to see them come in. They were so excited to show everyone the house, their room, where everyone was sleeping and of course all of their toys.

As we saw during our visit home in December, these cousins didn't miss a beat. They always pick up where they left off and waste no time getting into some serious play.

Thursday was a local day. The boys wanted the girls to see the park they love and show them the sights of Marlow.  I'll let the pictures do the talking for most of this blog because they tell it all.  (you will be able to notice the amateur and professional pictures- she's got skills man!!)

This took about 30 seconds to happen. She was awake and then literally 30 seconds later out for the count. Pretty girl.

Thursday night, Stephanie and I went into London to see Les Mis. Yes, you read that right. I went again. I love it so much that I have to bring everyone. And it didn't disappoint again.  There is a reason it has been running for 27 years.  It's that good.  I don't have any pictures but we were there.  We also had a fab dinner at this place called Burger and Lobster.  And that is what they serve. No more, no less.  We both got a lobster roll and a beer.  Now, this is a meal that Stephanie could of had any night of the week back home but she didn't care. She let me enjoy my "feels like Boston" dinner with a smile on my face.  I even got to drink a Sam Adams!  I really miss Sam Adams beer. Lovely night!

Friday we went into London and visited the Sea Life Aquarium, walked around Trafalgar Square and strolled around 10 Downing Street.

This thing is the reason I have no interest in scuba diving.  You stay in your world, I'll stay in mine.

Whoop! Whoop! Every one gets to touch a star fish!

The boys wanted to try the hurricane simulator. Yup.

This is what happens when we try to get everyone in the picture.

Some amazing shots from Stephanie...

And on to Trafalgar- the boys have had some practice getting up on these lions.

There was an attempt to get a picture with just me and Annabeth...it was thwarted.

An attempt for a family pic...

Hurry, hurry before one of them comes back!!!

Copy cats.

Strike a pose, there's nothing to it...

There were many sweet moments between Oliver and Bean.  He has a soft spot for her and it is very cute.

Loved watching them interact this whole week.  I think it was the adults favorite part.

For twins, these guys have very different ways of approaching things, but sometimes if you happen to catch it, they are very similar.

Very weird, silver statue guy. They liked him

Oliver practicing to be a guard for the Prime Minister. He's pretty good at it.

Bean has had enough. Everyone was pretty tired at the end of this day. Time to head home.

There are so many pictures to share that I have to break this up into parts.  Next part: Pirate Party!
