A year ago today...

It is extremely hard to believe that it has been an entire year since we moved to England.  I still remember the day we arrived...anxious about the new start and excited about the new start. All of these nervous thoughts rattling around in my head: worried about the boys adjustment and starting a new school, worried about driving, already missing family and friends and nervous about making new ones, how do we find a sitter, how do we get a car, where is the grocery store- things of that nature.

All very real worries and concerns and yet here we are a year later and thankfully those feelings have subsided. The boys are doing great, we can confidently drive, we love our town and neighbors, we have made new friends and almost all of our family has come to visit (some arriving tonight even!) Obviously there were hurdles we jumped but we did it.  We have had so many wonderful adventures here and abroad and we have watched our kids grow another year older realizing that they too had to jump a few hurdles. We are certainly proud of them and I'm proud of us as a family for taking the leap. I wanted to write a post to recognize our journey so far and to give thanks for all the blessings in our life.

Here's to a year ago today....

and here is to one more.

Cheers!

  2. This picture is priceless! I can't believe it's been a year! I'd be lying to say "it's gone by so fast!" But I can honestly say that I am so proud of your family for taking this opportunity and making the absolute most of it! I love all your adventures and excursions around Marlow and Europe. We loved our visit across the pond too! Keep creating wonderful family memories over there and know that we are all excited for your return next summer! Miss and love you! xoxo
