Did I forget we went to Wales? Well, sort of. May was busy and then all of a sudden the boys were on vacation and we went to Wales! What is Wales like? Wales is a lot like England. The drive lasted approximately 5 hours and we stayed in a cottage in a small village called Llansaint. This is it below. Small, small village. One church, one pub- what more do you need?
Pembry Country Park. This beach, Cefn Sidan Sands, goes for about 8 miles
The kids loved running on the beach....
Run, run....
And then stop because there are thousands of large jellyfish washed up on the shore.
At first it was cool to see and then I felt like the apocalypse was coming.
So obviously not the apocalypse but unusually warm water making them swim too close to the shore.
So we stayed closer to the dunes.
When in a pub, play the local games. (not his beer)
Not sure what I'm letting Henry do here, I just do these things to keep them entertained.
First castle, Kidwelly
Next stop Laugharne. Home of Laugharne Castle.
The boys were troopers through the castle and deserved some beach time.
No toys, no problem. They found creative ways to build a pirate ship with rocks, wood and twigs.
We had a nice relaxing time in Wales. One might say we had a Wale of a time!
Had to do it.
