Guy Fawkes Night

Our third Guy Fawkes Night, a/k/a Bonfire Night.   As you may remember from blogs past the week of November 5th England celebrates Bonfire Night.  Since 1605 the whole country celebrates the failure of Guy Fawkes' attempt to blow up Parliament.  It is very much similar to our July 4th festivities.

Fun fact - the mask that Anonymous wears is Guy Fawkes.

We were lucky enough to see a great firework display set to music from our back garden.  Showers threatened to spoil the fun but the weather cleared long enough to see the show.

Our neighbors Joe, Simon, Olivia, Sophia and their parents who were visiting from Malta.

Thanks Guy Fawkes. Maybe we'll bring the tradition home to the States.
